Curated by Naama Klaiman and Yoad Bar Noy
In Pardes, presented for the first time at the Freshpaint Art Fair, Uzan approaches the weekly Torah portion as a living and evolving interpretive framework. The biblical text, revisited each year in a recurring cycle, becomes a point of departure for a journey of imagination, deconstruction, and reinvention. Rather than illustrating the biblical narrative, she treats it as an open repository of images, ideas, and universal human tensions, reactivated through generative tools and contemporary visual languages.
The booth presents a unique body of work comprising digital images alongside video art pieces that expand the image into the dimensions of movement and time. The project brings together ancient text and contemporary technology, tradition and speculative interpretation. The works invite viewers to engage with the spiritual and symbolic layers of biblical narratives through a renewed perspective, not as a definitive reading, but as an open invitation to interpretation, imagination, and reflection.
